Paramount Pictures is releasing Crawl in the immersive, multi-sensory 4DX format from CJ 4DPlex. The announcement further extends the commitment between CJ 4DPlex and Paramount Pictures with plans to announce additional titles later in 2019. Crawl will open in 4DX auditoriums on July 7th.
Beginning today, movie fans nationwide can get ready for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 with all new games from Shuffle, Noovie’s movie trivia mobile game from National CineMedia. This marks the first studio collaboration for Noovie Shuffle. The new Shuffle original trivia games are based on the entire Pixar feature film universe and are part of the marketing campaign for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4, which opens in U.S. theaters on June 21.
ScreenX, the panoramic format from CJ 4DPlex, has grossed $22 million in the worldwide box office in five months, surpassing its own box office record from the same time last year. This marks a 85 percent surge in box office gross and the fastest record-breaking milestone in the history of the innovative format. Spider-Man Far From Home is scheduled to release in ScreenX on July 5th.

Ymagis Group today announced the appointment of Benoît Jacheet as chief financial officer. He succeeds Jean Firôme in the position. Webedia Movies Pro today released the results of an extensive survey tracking moviegoer behavior over the course of a year. The study, commissioned by WMP and produced by Vertigo research, tracked the age and gender of more than 100,000 moviegoers over a year, polling a representative sample of 2,000 moviegoers weekly.

Sony Pictures has announced that Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in the 270-degree panoramic ScreenX format on July 2nd. It marks the first Sony Pictures film to be converted into ScreenX. Previously Sony Pictures released Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 4DX, another immersive cinema technology from CJ 4DPlex. The new Spider-Man will also be available in 4DX.
