The Association of Moving Image Archivists is asking for proposals for sessions and workshops for its annual conference to be held December 7-9 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The deadline for submissions has been extended to August 18.
This year’s event is being held in person. The conference committee works to present a broad-based program that speaks to a wide range of attendees with a balance of theory and practice, inviting new ideas and concepts that stimulate additional interest, involvement, and educational benefit.
In keeping with their goals to be as inclusive as possible, they are urging proposers to use AMIA conference sessions as an opportunity to include new voices and offer diverse viewpoints.
The committee said it will do its best to honor and accommodate requests from those wishing to participate in the conference and ask that those people submitting a conference proposal to be fully committed to being part of the event through conference registration, travel, and accommodations at the conference hotel.
