Following on from the worldwide 2015 success of the United Nation’s Project Everyone global cinema campaign #WeHaveAPlan, Unique Digital is providing ongoing support for the 2016 initiative #WhatIReallyReallyWant. The new advertising will launch in cinemas on the July 22 and will call on people to share #WhatIReallyReallyWant on social media, igniting a campaign to encourage mass public support for the rights of girls and women worldwide.
“Last year, Unique Digital pioneered the worldwide delivery of a multi format, multi-language global advertising campaign unheard of within the cinema media landscape. We delivered on time and without issue, enabling cinema to provide the launch pad and the basis of the targeted three billion people in seven days,” said Nick Johnson, Unique Digital DCP delivery manager. “The United Nations and Project Everyone don’t ask you back if you don’t have a track record of delivery and professionalism, that is why we are delighted to be able to continue to support this wonderful initiative in any way we are able.”
The advertising will be distributed globally through Unique Digital’s DCP Production services division, based out of Manchester, UK.
SAWA and its members have committed to a global cinema campaign between July and September with the results of the campaign being presented to world leaders at the UN General Assembly in September.
Richard Curtis, writer, director, comic relief co-founder and SDG Advocate said, “Last year the UN, Project Everyone and many partners launched a mass awareness-raising campaign reaching three billion people in just seven days with news of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year we’re keeping up the noise and going deeper: fighting for 15 decisive years; trying to show how the Goals contain the answers to the world’s problems, especially focusing on the incredible importance of progress in the area of girls and women, Global Goals for Global Girls.”
Global Goals for Global Girls #WhatIReallyReallyWant launches in cinemas worldwide July 22.
