Diego Yhama Launches Coloristas Hispanos Podcast

Diego Yhama, CSI is a Colombian colorist and founder of Bogota post-production boutique, Estudio Roco. The company provides color grading and other services for film, television, and advertising, including projects for NatGeo, Discovery Channel, Discovery Home and Health, and The Fox Channel. Yhama, who is also a DaVinci Resolve Master Trainer, recently launched Coloristas Hispanos, a podcast focused on colorists in the Spanish-speaking world.

Making Path of the Panther

Danny Schmidt is an award-winning director, producer, and cinematographer whose work in wildlife documentaries has taken him to the most remote and forbidding parts of the globe in search of its most elusive creatures. In one of his latest projects, Schmidt served as cinematographer on Path of the Panther, a feature-length documentary directed by Eric Bendick and produced by Carlton Ward, Jr for National Geographic.

Finishing Wolf Pack at Pace

Post-production finishing for the first season of the Paramount+ drama Wolf Pack was recently completed at Pace Pictures, Hollywood. The full-service post house provided sound and picture services for the series, written and executive produced by Jeff Davis, including sound editorial, automatic dialogue replacement, sound mixing, color grading, and editorial finishing.

Vancouver Film School Graduates Worked on Oscar-Winning Movies

Vancouver Film School has announced that 82 Oscar winners out of 130 total nominees were VFS alumni who graduated from there and worked on Oscar winning projects. Winning projects for Best Visual Effects included 31 alumni for Avatar: The Way of Water and six alumni for Best Animated Film for Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.

Cosmic Picture Receives Grant for Einstein’s Incredible Universe

Cosmic Picture Distribution has been awarded a three million dollar grant by the National Science Foundation for its upcoming project, Einstein’s Incredible Universe. The centerpiece of the project is a film for giant screen and Imax theatres that will celebrate the groundbreaking work of Albert Einstein, the curiosity that drove him to explore space and time, and the scientific creativity that led to his most revolutionary ideas.

Göteborg Film Fund Offering Grants for Ukrainian Filmmakers

On March 15 the Göteborg Film Fund is opening a call for submissions for development grants for filmmakers working within Ukraine. This is part of a bigger program for Ukraine, which was initiated in June 2022 with residency filmmakers working in Sweden, continuing with supports for dissemination and promotion of Ukrainian films, and development grants during the autumn.
