Victoria Logan has been named manager, versioning and accessibility at Éclair Media’s Strasbourg office. Logan is a graduate of the Cinema, Radio & TV School at Louvain University in Belgium and spent most of her career at Arte G.E.I.E in Strasbourg as production manager.
Creative media company Alkemy X has appointed Rich Shurtliff as director of information technology. Shurtliff, who brings deep experience in IT for visual effects, design and content production, will oversee the company’s information technology strategy, services and operations at its Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles studios. He succeeds the retiring Bob Pyle, who held the post for nearly 30 years.

Ymagis Group today announced the appointment of Benoît Jacheet as chief financial officer. He succeeds Jean Firôme in the position. Jacheet joined Ymagis Group’s finance department last month to assist in its current financial restructuring. His appointment as CFO as part of a transition mission gives him the means to carry out the necessary reforms to reorganize the finance function and quickly establish a cash culture and improved operational performance among all managers across the group.

Award winning VFX and animation studio Jellyfish Pictures has opened a new virtual animation facility in Sheffield. The move continues Jellyfish Pictures’ pioneering efforts, after creating Europe’s first virtual VFX studios in 2017. The new site is the company’s fifth studio in the UK and is in addition to Jellyfish Pictures’ established studios in Fitzrovia, Central London, Brixton, South London and Oval, South London.
Sound Lounge has promoted Becca Falborn to executive producer. In her new role, Falborn will manage the studio’s busy advertising division and supervise its team of producers. She will also lead client relations and sales. Additionally, she will manage Sound Lounge Everywhere, the company’s remote sound services offering, which currently operates in Boston and Boulder.
Light Iron, a Panavision company, has announced that Jeremy Sawyer is returning to its Los Angeles facility as a senior colorist. Sawyer brings more than 20 years of color finishing experience to his role. He joins Light Iron’s talent roster as the facility manages a growing list of feature and episodic projects.
Domenic Rom, a longtime fixture of New York’s post-production industry, has joined Goldcrest Post as managing director. Rom will oversee operations, drive sales and pursue growth strategies for Goldcrest, one of the largest independent providers of post services for film and television on the East Coast. He previously served as president and general manager of Deluxe TV Post Production Services.
