ARPA Presents U.S. Premiere of 3 Weeks in Yerevan

3 Weeks in Yerevan, a new comedy by the Award-winning collaboration of writer-director Vahe Berberian and producer-co-director Vahik Pirhamzei, will have its North American premiere September 14 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Sponsored by the Analysis Research Planning for Armenia Foundation, the premiere will feature a post-screening Q&A with the film's three leading men Berberian, Pirhamzei (who also star in the film), and actor-comedian Hrant Tokhatyan.

SMPTE Elevates 16 to Fellow Status

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has announced that this year — the Society's centennial year — it will elevate 16 industry leaders to the status of SMPTE Fellow. This honor is conferred on individuals who have, through their proficiency and contributions to the industry, attained an outstanding rank among members of the Society. CJ 4DPlex Expands Colombian Presence

CJ 4DPlex has partnered with Royal Films in Colombia to expand its number of operations from four to six by bringing the fully immersive 4DX technology, which incorporates motion chairs and multisensory environmental effects to a Royal Films theatre in Viva Barranquilla, the third largest shopping mall in Colombia in late October. Another installation will be added by late 2017.
