At this year’s CineEurope in Barcelona, June 20-23, Barco will showcase how its cinema solutions offer moviegoers a unique cinema experience and provide exhibitors with a strong return on investment.
Highlights include Barco’s Flagship Laser technology, its Laser Phosphor projectors, Barco Escape, the AuroMax® immersive audio technology and Lobby engagement solutions.
Barco’s Lobby Experience allows cinema exhibitors to transform the ordinary cinema lobby into an engaging, revenue-generating entertainment center by creating animated box office, concessions and menu boards, animated movie posters and dynamic, multi-screen movie trailer presentations.
Barco’s Flagship Laser projection technology offers exceptional image quality for Premium Large Format and large auditoriums. At the same time, it simplifies operations and reduces running costs for cinema exhibitors. Barco therefore believes that RGB laser projection will soon predominate in premium cinemas.
To allow cinema exhibitors to benefit from laser projection in every auditorium across their entire circuit, Barco expanded its Flagship Laser series with laser phosphor cinema projectors (both new and retrofit models). Freeing cinemas from all lamp-related hassles and costs, laser phosphor solutions offer considerable cost savings and ease of use while ensuring superior image quality.
A growing number of filmmakers and studios are embracing immersive format, Barco Escape. The company has a five-year agreement with 20th Century Fox and deals with two leading production companies Cross Creek and Fundamental Films to release movies in Barco Escape.
Combining the best of object-based audio technology by Barco Audio Technologies (formerly IOSONO) with the Auro 11.1 by Barco immersive sound format, AuroMax enables cinemas to create a premium experience with the most natural immersive sound possible at up to half the cost of a typical object-based sound system.
