AFI Tech Showcase to be held November 11-14

The American Film Institute’s Tech Showcase for AFI Fest 2017 will include a selection of 360-degree, virtual reality, augmented reality and immersive short film experiences representing a cross-section of what's currently possible in this new cinematic medium. The showcase will be on display November 11–14 at The Hollywood Roosevelt, in the Academy Room and Johnny Grant Suite.

Centerplex Installs Dolby Atmos on Ten Screens

Centerplex Cinemas, one of the largest motion picture exhibitors in Brazil, has announced that it plans to deliver Dolby Atmos immersive audio to 10 screens throughout Brazil. In addition, Centerplex will deploy several Dolby IMS3000 integrated media servers, Dolby multichannel amplifiers and SLS 3-Axis Speakers across its circuit, becoming the first exhibitor in Brazil to install the latest Dolby technology. Plans call for the installation to be completed by the end of 2018.

Zero Weeks Premieres at DOC NYC

Filmhouse Cinemas Installs Vista Software

Filmhouse Cinemas has announced that it will roll out Vista Cinema software across all ten of their cinema sites, comprising 43 screens in total, located throughout Nigeria. The project will commence immediately and is due to be completed by the end of the year. Filmhouse Cinemas holds the largest cinema exhibition market share in Nigeria and operates the only IMAX site in West Africa.
