Metropolitan Theatres has signed Vision Media to oversee installation and on-going management of circuit-wide digital signage and media systems. “Our partnership with Vision Media will further our efforts to enhance the movie-going experience. The investment in digital signage enables highly impactful communication that is flexible to best serve our customers,” said David Corwin, president of Metropolitan Theatres.

Nordisk Film Cinemas Adds 4DX Screens

CJ 4DPlex has announced that Nordisk Film Cinemas will bring nine additional 4DX immersive seating screens to Scandinavia by the end of 2021. This agreement comes on the heels of a successful run at Nordisk’s first 4DX theatre in Oslo, the Nordisk Ringen. During full time screenings of eight Hollywood titles since March 10, the theater has seen an overall occupancy rate of 72 percent.

SF Studios Selects Unique Digital’s Movie Transit

SF Studios, Stockholm, has signed an agreement to begin using Unique Digital’s Movie Transit system to deliver digital cinema packages electronically into cinemas across the Nordic Territories. Movie Transit will enable SF Studios to deliver quickly, securely, and reliably across four different territories, providing digital delivery access to nearly 1,000 cinema sites.

UNIC Launches Mentoring Program for Women in Cinema

CinemaNext, ATG Announce Licensing Agreement

CinemaNext today announced a new technology licensing agreement with US-based Adaptive Technologies Group for its PS Box boothless cinema system. Under this exclusive agreement, Adaptive will manufacture the PS Box at their factory in southern Los Angeles and sell it in select territories including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and Australia & New Zealand.

Éclair Announces Theatrical Delivery Agreement with Diagonal for Switzerland

Éclair today announced a theatrical delivery agreement with Zurich-based Diagonal to offer service solutions to film studios, distributors and cinema exhibitors. The three-year contract is effective immediately and covers Diagonal’s home base in Switzerland and Éclair's key markets, including France, Benelux, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and UK.
