An accomplished sales manager with over 18-years experience of developing complex I.T. projects, along with his vast background in electronic engineering and extensive knowledge of the European and Latin American market, makes him the perfect fit for SGO. He is also an impressive linguist, with proficiency in fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese.

SMPTE Elects New Officers and Governors

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers has elected its new officers and governors for the 2016-2017 term. "The elections bring the board an impressive array of industry leaders, all with a history of contributing valuable expertise and extraordinary energy to SMPTE events and standards work," said SMPTE past president Wendy Aylsworth, who served as nominating committee chair. "As we enter an exciting centennial year, the Society will benefit from our board of governors' collective experience and ongoing commitment to the Society's three pillars of education, standards, and membership."

ECA Names New Board Members

The Event Cinema Association has announced the appointment of four new ECA members to its board of directors. Vanessa Hills, head of marketing at UK distributor More2Screen and Janelle Mason, director and producer at production company and distributor CinemaLive, have been appointed as board directors, and Fabrice Testa, head of international business development for Kencast stepped down from his role at DSAT Cinema to be replaced by Manel Carreras, senior vice president, marketing and content business development services at Ymagis, was voted back onto the board in his new role as head of business development at U.S. technical provider Kencast.

Post Factory NY Names Matt Breitenbach to Lead Digital Conform

Post-production veteran Matt Breitenbach has joined Post Factory NY, a Sim Group company, as director of digital conform. In his new role, he will oversee the finishing process for feature films. Breitenbach arrives from Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, New York, where he was senior digital intermediates editor. His credits there included The Wolf of Wall Street, Rosewater, Run All Night, Kill the Messenger and the hit CBS crime drama Blue Bloods.
