Deluxe has appointed George Eyles executive vice president and general manager, worldwide cinema. He will report directly to Deluxe chief operating officer Warren Stein and be responsible for the company’s global cinema (formerly digital cinema) strategy and operations.

Friedman jumped into the producing world with the movie Warning Shot, allowing him to span productions both above and below the line. Friedman's insider experience led him to create Crew Me Up, a mobile labor platform bridging the gap between people and productions. The Hollywood Professional Association has announced the 2021 class of HPA Young Entertainment Professionals. The YEP program was developed by HPA Women in Post and is overseen by the YEP steering committee, led by co-chairs Kari Grubin and Loren Nielsen.
Cooke Optics has appointed Hon Ming Lai to the role of director of sales Asia, Australasia, Africa, Middle East, effective immediately. Reporting to Thomas Greiser, director of global sales, Hon Ming will be based in Hong Kong.
Cooke Optics has announced that its chairman, Les Zellan, will be stepping down from the company, and its CEO, Robert Howard, will be retiring, both effective October 31. Tim Pugh will become CEO, while Kees van Oostrum, currently a Cooke Optics board member, will become the company’s non-executive chairman.
Samantha Uber has joined Goldcrest Post as conform artist/manager of workflow services and senior finishing editor. Uber will work with film and television clients in designing customized workflows to manage projects from the set through delivery. She will also act as a hands-on finishing editor.
Deluxe announced today that Anna Lee has been appointed to the newly created role of chief strategy officer. Lee will report directly to Deluxe chief executive officer Cyril Drabinsky and be responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives for the company.
Movio has named Sarah Lewthwaite the company’s chief client officer. Lewthwaite most recently was managing director & senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has been with Movio for six years. The announcement was made by Movio co-founder and chief executive William Palmer.
