Éclair quietly launched its newest technology – ÉclairLive – with the successful first screening of a live event via streaming at the CGR cinema in Vitrolles, near Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône). This first event of its kind featured the April 22 National Basketball Association playoffs match of the Golden State Warriors versus the San Antonio Spurs.

Warner Bros. Releasing Five Films in ScreenX Format
Warner Bros. Pictures intends to release up to five titles in CJ 4DPlex’s ScreenX format within the next twelve months. The films announced to date include The Nun in September, Aquaman in December, and Shazam! in April 2019, with additional titles to be confirmed later this year. This will build on the success of Rampage, which was released earlier this month in the panoramic, 270-degree, premium cinema format.

ÉclairPlay Content Platform Now Available in U.S., Western Europe & Australia
The ÉclairPlay content platform connecting cinema exhibitors, content owners and distributors around the world, is now available in the following countries: USA, Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. ÉclairPlay will also be launched in Germany in late April as a new and enhanced version of the TrailerLoop promotional tool for cinema exhibitors.
Vox Cinemas, Myrkott, Sign Distribution Deal
Vox Cinemas has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Myrkott, the Saudi production company behind the YouTube animated series Masameer that has attracted more than 700 million views across social media. The development marks the first of its kind deal with a Saudi production company and will see Myrkott content screened across the Middle East and North Africa, including the distribution of a forthcoming feature film based on the YouTube show.
Cosmic Picture Launches Distribution Arm, Secures Rights for Nat Geo Giant Screen Films
Cosmic Picture has launched a new giant screen film distribution company for museum and science center theaters. The company will distribute a range of films, including a number of giant screen educational films from the National Geographic library, including award-winning documentaries such as Sea Monsters, Extreme Weather, Mysteries of the Unseen World and its own hit Jerusalem.
WCPMedia Now Managing Italy’s Istituto Luce–Cinecittà Catalog
Italy’s historic Istituto Luce–Cinecittà has selected WCPMedia Services to manage its massive catalog of Italian feature films and documentaries. The state-owned film producer, distributor and archive will use WCPMedia’s cloud-based platform to market, sell and distribute films to buyers worldwide.
Alchimie, Unified Streaming Extend Partnership
Digital distribution company Alchimie is extending its partnership with Unified Streaming. Alchimie, headquartered just outside Paris, advises rights owners who are dealing with companies such as Google, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, and Orange to name a few. Unified Streaming has worked with Alchimie since 2015. By installing their web-server plug-in Unified Origin, Alchimie says it has been able to offer stable, scalable live and on-demand streaming to all its partners, who, in turn, can unfailingly satisfy their customers as the final users
