The Hadza: Last of The First chronicles the lives of the Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania, possibly the last true hunter-gatherer group on the planet. The film, to be released digitally by Journeyman Pictures starting today, is directed and produced by Bill Benenson. The Hadza: Last of the First was shown at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and is produced in association with The Nature Conservancy, one of the most highly regarded non-profits in the world.

When it came to grading The Americans, where the central characters live a double life, colorist John Crowley knew he would need to create some distinctive looks. He used one of Technicolor PostWorks New York’s Baselight systems to grade series two and three of the New York-shot, 1980s-set show, working closely with director of photography Richard Rutkowski.

Parallax’s Musical Ready for Production

Parallax Media Ventures has announced that it is near completion of pre-production on Musical, the definitive version of the classic Grimm’s fairy tale, The Bremen Town Musicians. The team’s first act animatic, featuring 3,200 storyboard images and paintings, will be available for private viewing three weeks following the American Film Market. The feature, with a proposed budget of $60 million, is a four-quadrant title slated for release in 2017.

Filmmaker Ty Evans used Aerigon to capture spectacular shots for the skateboarding feature film We Are Blood. Directed by Evans and produced by Brain Farm and Mountain Dew Green Label Films, We Are Blood profiles professional skateboarder Paul Rodriquez and his wide circle of skateboarding comrades. Filmed on locations around the globe, the movie relied on dynamic action shots, captured at different angles and perspectives that bring the audience into the skateboarding experience.
