Five Studios to Release Films in Dolby Cinema

In the coming months five studios will release major feature films in Dolby Cinema, Dolby announced today. They include Sony Pictures’ Pixels, in theatres July 24; Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation, in theatres July 31; Universal Pictures’ Everest, in theatres this September, and Lionsgate Entertainment’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2, in theatres this November. They join titles soon to be announced by Twentieth Century Fox.

Paramount Releases Terminator Genisys Game for Moviegoers

For some going to see Terminator Genisys starting July 1 will mean having the chance to do something other than text or stare at the advertisements on the big screen before the movie starts. Paramount has announced it is releasing an interactive game to be played on mobile devices before the film begins at select AMC Imax locations.

JT Cinema Centralizes Entire Chain with AAM Producer

Leading Dutch exhibitor JT Cinema is set to centralize all its operations with Arts Alliance Media’s Producer enterprise content management system. The agreement, which covers 102 screens across the Netherlands, will see all of JT Cinema’s sites connected to Producer at head office. From one central instance at head office, JT will be able to monitor and manage all content, KDMs, advertising and trailer pre-show, and reporting across 20 sites.

Cinemaximum Marmara Forum in Istanbul to be First Turkish 4DX Location

CJ 4DPLex and Mars Cinema Group are partnering to bring 4DX to Turkey for the first time. Developed by CJ 4DPLex, 4DX is the world’s first 4D-technology based cinema for feature films, using motion, vibration, water, wind, lighting, scents and more to provide moviegoers with a truly immersive experience. The first Turkish location for 4DX will be at Cinemaximum Marmara Forum in Istanbul, which boasts the greatest number of screens and seats of any cinema in the country. It is expected to open in mid September this year.
