National CineMedia today announced that its board of directors has approved a new share repurchase program authorizing the purchase of up to $100 million of the company’s common stock through April 1, 2027. A study from the Network of Independent Canadian Exhibitors says that 60 per cent of independent cinema operators surveyed between December and February operated at a loss at the end of their most recent fiscal year.
