CinemaNext Partners with Leadcom, Ferco for Cinema Seating Distribution

CinemaNext today announced the signing of two separate global agreements with Malaysian and Chinese seating manufacturers, Ferco Seating Systems and Guangzhou Leadcom Seating, respectively. These new agreements recognize CinemaNext as an official international distributor of their cinema seating products in select markets, including Europe, Middle East and Africa. It follows the agreement with European seating manufacturer Ezcaray announced in February.

CinemaNext Debuts Sphera Theatre Concept

CinemaNext recently debuted its new premium format Sphera theatre concept at Village Cinemas in the Mall of Athens. Combining the latest in projection, audio and lighting technologies, the Sphera theatre at Village Cinemas includes an 82-foot wide wall-to-wall screen, 669 luxury seats, 4K digital video projectors and a high-quality Dolby Atmos surround sound system. In order to provide a unique and innovative movie going experience, CinemaNext decided to incorporate Martin VDO Sceptron LED video fixtures to create a dynamic lighting system that complements the visuals on the screen.

Showbiz Chooses Christie Laser

Australia’s Showbiz Cinemas has chosen the Christie CP2208-LP 3DLP laser phosphor cinema projectors to be deployed in all auditoriums. Located in the new Delacombe Town Centre complex in Ballarat, Victoria, the contemporary 530-seat cinema complex comprises six screens and features luxury seats, surround sound and wall-to-wall screens, with the largest screen in Cinema 1 hall measuring 10 meters wide. The cinema opened August 31.

CinemaNext, ATG Announce Licensing Agreement

CinemaNext today announced a new technology licensing agreement with US-based Adaptive Technologies Group for its PS Box boothless cinema system. Under this exclusive agreement, Adaptive will manufacture the PS Box at their factory in southern Los Angeles and sell it in select territories including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and Australia & New Zealand.
