Apollo Kinas Opens in Vilnius with Christie Technology

The Apollo Kinas, a new premium multiplex at the Vilnius Outlet shopping center in Lithuania has opened with a complete range of Christie Digital Systems cinema technology. Christie partner BMK installed a Christie CP4425-RGB and five CP2415-RGB RealLaser illumination technology, each accompanied by a Christie Vive Audio sound system, to immerse audiences in its six screens.

Storyline Studios is a Scandinavian film production company that offers camera rentals, editing, effects, sound design and more in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. As the leading film production facility in Norway, the company has around 50 employees that cover the entire creative process from production and post-production to mastering and finalization. With studios in Mølleparken and Akerselva connected via fiber, Storyline wanted to upgrade the sound system in its premier screening room and mixing studio to provide an elegant and intuitive environment for finishing projects. To this end, Storyline turned to leading distributor Lydrommet to outfit the facility with AV networking and control solutions from AMX and BSS.

European Box Office to Exceed €5.6 Billion

The International Union of Cinemas, representing European cinema trade associations and operators, has today released preliminary estimates for 2022 box office and admissions across the territories it covers. UNIC’s overview represents the first wide-ranging assessment of European cinema’s performance last year. Detailed final data for each UNIC territory will be released in Spring 2023.
