Supercines, Ecuador’s largest cinema chain, has just opened the 10-screen multiplex Supercines Orellana, which has been equipped with Christie cinema technology, including RGB pure laser projectors, Christie Vive Audio and LCD digital signage displays. T&T Cinema supplied and installed all Christie equipment in the new complex.
The Chilean cinema chain Muvix has equipped all seven theatres of its new multiplex in Talca, Chile with Christie Digital Systems CineLife+ cinema projectors.

GDC Technology’s Brazil office has signed an agreement with Cinesystem Cinemas, the fourth largest movie theatre company in Brazil, to replace their current theatre management system with GDC’s TMS-2000. The installation will involve 26 cinema locations and 160 screens and is scheduled to be completed by the end of February.

Earlier this year, the Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador became the only cinema project to be started and developed in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theatre has 11 auditoriums, including a 4D Emotion + 3D screen and a premium large format screen called MCX – Multicines Xtreme. CES+ was the integrator on the project.
