Cinemeccanica has renewed its technical sponsorship agreement with the 80th Venice International Film Festival – La Biennale di Venezia and will guarantee the organization the technological equipment for the projections in the theatres used during the event.
The festival will take place from August 30 to September 9.
La Biennale di Venezia and Cinemeccanica have decided to give a new green imprint to the projection equipment and therefore half of the 14 projectors that will be supplied for this edition of the Venice Film Festival will be equipped with laser light sources.
Alongside the energy savings (-50%) that laser guarantees, compared to light sources based on xenon lamps, the laser system can reproduce a wider range of brilliant and natural colors and an even distribution of light with uniformity greater than 95 percent.
Seven of the ten theatres will use projectors with laser light sources, starting the technological transition that will bring the presentation of contents aligned with the technologies currently being implemented in the cinemas.
Once again, the screening of the movies in competition and in presentation will be managed by Cinemeccanica’s theatre management system Streamer that grants by data direct streaming the projection of the contents stored in the central server, simultaneously in multiple cinema halls.
