The newly branded Cleveland Clinic Dome Theater at Great Lakes Science Center is about to receive a serious projection upgrade – the world’s first giant dome cinema laser system. The theater re-launch, complete with new seats and carpet, is set to open to the public in October. D3D Cinema, in partnership with Christie, is handling the installation.

The movie box office in Brazil increased by ten percent from January to the first week of August, according to regulatory agency Ancine. The audience grew from 113.9 million to 125.4 million in one year’s time, the agency said.

3 Weeks in Yerevan, a new comedy by the Award-winning collaboration of writer-director Vahe Berberian and producer-co-director Vahik Pirhamzei, will have its North American premiere September 14 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. CJ 4DPlex has partnered with Royal Films in Colombia to expand its number of operations from four to six by bringing the fully immersive 4DX technology, which incorporates motion chairs and multisensory environmental effects to a Royal Films theatre in Viva Barranquilla, the third largest shopping mall in Colombia in late October. Another installation will be added by late 2017.
