GrayMeta has unveiled Iris 3.0, a professional high dynamic range video player for the media and entertainment industry. According to the company, Iris 3.0 is the world’s only multi-format, broadcast quality media player and desktop collaboration tool that supports the up-conversion of SDR content to HDR to allow for accessible and affordable use of media companies’ current equipment. The collaboration tool provides quality control features including, on screen drawing, file checking templates, timeline annotations and shares messages securely and instantly with key stakeholders.

The depiction of the law in art and culture is as old as storytelling. Its manifestation in moving pictures often focuses on questions and concerns about the rule of law and equal citizenship in a well-functioning democracy. The Law Library of Congress and the Library’s Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation will offer a program highlighting the depiction of law in film and television July 20 at the Packard Campus Theater in Culpeper, Virginia. The event is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.

The New York Women in Film & Television’s first annual Sabrina Wright-Gilliar Scholarship will be presented to Briana Ayala June 28 at the Academy for Careers in Television and Film graduation ceremony at the Skirball Center. The scholarship honors the memory of the legendary prop master Wright-Gilliar and will be given to a female high school senior graduating from TvF in Queens.
