Deluxe Launches LIBRAS Service for Brazilian Film Releases

Deluxe Entertainment Services Group has launched a Brazilian sign language (LIBRAS) localization service. The service – the first of its kind outside of Brazil – is designed to help studios meet Brazil’s new LIBRAS accessibility requirements, which began to be enforced as of September 17 and necessitate that studios produce and deliver LIBRAS video recordings for any feature released in Brazilian theaters.

More2Screen Distributing Oscar Wilde

More2Screen has been appointed to distribute Classic Spring Theatre Company’s newly announced Oscar Wilde Season live to cinemas in the UK and Ireland, followed by a recorded roll-out internationally. The first of four plays by the Irish comic master, A Woman of No Importance, will be broadcast live on November 28, followed by the celebrated Lady Windermere’s Fan on March 20.

Wonder Woman's audience evolved in a similar manner as most blockbusters but with some trends notably magnified, according to an audience evolution report released by Movio. While the female and fifty and older segments of the audience generally grow over the course of a blockbuster’s run, Wonder Woman’s female audience nearly reached parity with the male audience by the third week.

Crimson Forest, Hannover House to Merge

Feature film production company Crimson Forest Entertainment Group and specialty theatrical and home video distributor Hannover House have confirmed plans to merge operations under a stock-swap and financing plan, scheduled to be effective May 1. One of the first new titles to be released under the combined Crimson Forest – Hannover House structure is the $20-million dollar action thriller feature Shockwave starring Andy Lau and Jiang Wu. The film will be co-released together with CMC Pictures in North America next month.
