One of the highlights of the Christie exhibit at BIRTV 2016, now underway in Beijing, China is the Christie CP2208-LP laser phosphor cinema projector. Delivering up to 11,000 native lumens of brightness for screens up to 35 feet, the 3D-capable Christie CP2208-LP is virtually maintenance free with no lamps to change, offers a lower total cost of operation, and provides a lower carbon footprint for theater owners.

AAM Lifeguard going to 5,000 Shanghai Film Corporation Screens

Arts Alliance Media has signed a new direct agreement with Shanghai SFC Film & Television Technology Development to deliver its Lifeguard system monitoring software. Lifeguard provides centralized equipment monitoring and support ticketing capabilities, enabling a comprehensive maintenance service to be provided to cinemas. The deal will see 5,000 cinema screens covered by AAM’s Lifeguard, enhancing the capabilities of SFC’s Network Operations Centre as it serves both SFC screens and those of its external exhibitor customers.

Barco DP2K-20CLP Projector Receives BIRTV2016 Award

Barco’s DP2K-20CLP laser phosphor cinema projector has been presented with the 2016 Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition’s special product award. The Barco DP2K-20CLP projector, which clinched the award this year, is the first laser phosphor projector based on China’s proprietary ALPD technology and the first to break 20,000 lumens.

Shanghai Film Corporation Signs with CJ 4DPlex

CJ 4DPlex has signed with Shanghai Film Corporation one of the top multiplex operators in China to expand 4DX to more than 20 screens within three years. SFC, a state-owned company, is a film production company that also distributes, exhibits movies and has studios, cinema chains. It currently operates some 300 screens at 40 locations in the East China region.

JinyiGuangMei Selects AAM Software for Entire Cinema Chain

Arts Alliance Media has been selected by cinema operator Jinyi GuangMei to provide automated scheduling and content management across its entire cinema chain. AAM’s Producer and Screenwriter systems will be deployed for all 150 of JinyiGuangMei’s screens, which span over 15 sites across China. The deal was concluded with AAM’s Chinese reseller partner, Guangdong Pearl River Cine & Video Equipment.
