Qube Cinema has introduced WireLink to move digital cinema package files around the world securely and without a long-term commitment plan. The company says WireLink facilitates the delivery of digital cinema content to more theatres in more countries around the world. It says it is a convenient and secure way to deliver content to locations that are challenging to reach through existing physical, satellite, and electronic delivery methods.
With the rollout of DTS:X for immersive audio bitstream, IAB-compliant digital cinema packages will be labeled IAB in the composition playlist. Executives at DTS and GDC Technology Limited, a licensee of DTS Surround, DTS:X and DTS:X with IAB, want to clear up any confusion people might have about the technology. Qube Wire and Auwe Digital have announced that the content delivery network the two companies are building together in Brazil has grown to more than 100 theatres. Qube’s new Virtual WireTAP system allows theatres to utilize existing hardware to facilitate their connection to Qube Wire.
The Liquid Media Group subsidiary, Digital Cinema United, says it has established a presence in approximately 30 percent of U.S. movie theatres.

Qube Wire’s global cloud delivery platform is known for its ease of installation and operation. It provides a secure, efficient way to deliver content and keys for what the companies say is less money.
Unique X has renewed its long-term agreement with the Odeon Cinemas Group, Europe’s largest cinema operator, for the provision of RosettaBridge Theatre Management System, RosettaNet Circuit Management System and BaseKey. Unique X’s global digital cinema package delivery platform MovieTransit is already in operation at all Odeon Cinemas Group sites.
