This year, Moonlight Cinema will return across five iconic, picturesque parklands in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane, welcoming cinema-lovers and experience-seekers alike during the peak summer and holiday period.

Moonlight Cinema is projected to have one of its most successful years yet with a packed content slate including some of the year’s biggest cultural moments such as Barbie, The Little Mermaid and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One all forming part of the national program. Audiences also can enjoy a stellar lineup of highly anticipated titles yet to be released such as The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Anyone but You, Trolls Band Together and Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins.

As the holiday season approaches, Christmas classics will also be back to warm the hearts of audiences with timeless favourites like Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually and How the Grinch Stole Christmas screening across all Moonlight Cinema locations, presented by Telstra.

John Boero, general manager of entertainment operations EVT said, “What makes Moonlight Cinema one of the most unique and memorable cinema experiences is not only the incredible content line up, but the stunning parkland and garden locations, EVT’s delicious food and beverage offering, and the exceptional partners we have on board.”

For the second year in a row, Energizer has signed on as the Moonlight Cinema presenting partner, with McDonald’s, Flight Centre and BWS all National Sponsors of the event.

“Bringing families together is something both Moonlight Cinema and Energizer are proud to share. We are excited to power up Moonlight Cinema again for the second year in a row,” said Energizer ANZ business director Jon Kirby.

Paul MacGregor, director of strategy and marketing at Val Morgan added, “Moonlight Cinema continues to push the boundaries of outdoor entertainment and the cinemagoing experience, giving brands the opportunity to tap into a young affluent demographic who love enjoying premium experiences with their friends and family. The upcoming 2023-2024 season promises to be exceptional, with sponsors delivering captivating and immersive nationwide activations. We’re equally delighted to welcome Energizer back as presenting partner for a second consecutive year.”
